    Classic, charming Fleurie

The Fleurie Château de Fleurie from Héritiers Loron is a classic charmer. A ruby-red wine with rich aromas from Beaujolais in the French Burgundy. A nose full of cherries, blackcurrants, dark chocolate, and a hint of liquorice. The silky tannins provide a rich and balanced mouthfeel with a beautiful, long finish. Chill briefly for the optimal taste experience!

Deliciously fruity, full-bodied Beaujolais bursting with cherries

A glass filled with delicious, soft dark red fruit. Juicy cherries, blackberries, blackcurrants, and not forgetting the floral violets. A light earthy note is complemented by a pleasant spiciness of liquorice. Oak aging of about 8 to 9 months gives the wine a beautiful roundness and notes of dark chocolate. Silky tannins and a rich, full mouthfeel. The ideal wine to serve with white meat, pasta with red sauce, or tagine. This wine pairs easily with many dishes but will never overpower them.

    Vinification

The Fleurie Château de Fleurie is made from Gamay noir grapes. These grapes grow in the vineyards of Le Bourg, Les Rochaux, Point du Jour, and La Madone. The soil here consists primarily of granite. 60% of the grapes used for this wine ferment whole, including the seeds and stems. This gives the wine its structure, depth, and tannins. The wine ages for 8 to 9 months in wooden barrels of various sizes. This Fleurie has an aging potential of about 2 to 5 years after the vintage.

    Jean Loron Château de Fleurie

Château de Fleurie has been owned by Jean Loron since 2015, who also owns the Loron trading company in the BeaujolaisPreviously, the estate was in the hands of the Barc de La Perrière family, who built the Château in the 1860s. The estate features 9 hectares of vines in the municipality of Fleurie, situated directly adjacent to the Château. Château de Fleurie holds the Appellation d’Origine Protégée of the municipality of Fleurie.

Also try the more affordably priced white one. Chardonnay from the same winery!
