    Absolute top wine from Bordeaux!

With this Château Lynch-Bages Pauillac Grand Cru Classé, you truly have something special in your hands. One of the best vintages of this century: 2010, from one of the best chateaux in Pauillac, Bordeaux. The early daredevil would open this bottle young, but the aging potential of this Grand Cru Classé is outstanding! Rated wildly with 98 Suckling points and 97 Parker points. Highly recommended to wait until 2030 to open the bottle, and even to keep it well past 2060! These Lynch-Bages mainly contain Cabernet Sauvignon used in combination with Merlot, supplemented with some Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.

    Tasting note Château Lynch-Bages Pauillac

In the glass, the wine is deep red. Powerful and very concentrated on the nose with plenty of fruit, blackberries, black cherries, and blackcurrants. A distinct smoky edge, smoked cedar, tobacco, and bay leaf. Fresh acidity and very dense tannins with a pleasant spiciness on the palate. Enjoy every drop! In its early years, decant for several hours first to allow the wine to breathe sufficiently. Due to the high acidity in the wine, it can be aged for an incredibly long time, and the wine only reaches its optimal window after 20 years.

    Vinification

The vineyards of this Château Lynch-Bages Pauillac Grand Cru Classé cover an area of 90 hectares in the heart of Pauillac, on the left bank of the Garonne in the BordeauxThe soil here consists mainly of gravel originating from the Garonne. While 2009 was already a fantastic year, 2010 surpassed it thanks to the cooler nights in the dry and sunny year. The grapes were small and enormously concentrated, rich in color and tannins with great aromatic freshness. The grapes were hand-harvested and strictly sorted. The wine aged for 15 months in small French oak barrels, 70% of which were new oak. The wine was not released to the market until 2023.
