Since their switch to certified organic viticulture in 2021, the wines have become even more vibrant, with a focus on the pure expression of the terroir without an excess of new oak.

The Magic of Pinot Noir

In the vineyards of Vosne-Romanée, the Pinot Noir grape finds its ultimate form. The limestone and clay soils give the wine a structure that connoisseurs often describe as “an iron fist in a silk glove”: powerful on the inside, but incredibly soft on the outside.

What do you taste in this organic Vosne-Romanée?

• The Bouquet: Immediately upon pouring, aromas of wild strawberries, raspberries, and violets burst from the glass. As the wine breathes, more complex notes of elderberries, liquorice, and a subtle, earthy hint of truffle or “sous-bois” (forest floor) emerge.
• The Taste: The opening is refined and juicy. The tannins are razor-fine, almost lace-like. What stands out in the organic version of Berthelemot is the energy and freshness; the wine sings in the mouth.
