The Domaine de Grangeneuve les Dames Blanches du Sud is a classic Rhône blend of multiple grape varieties. Delicious, with plenty of yellow stone fruit such as peach, apricot, and acacia blossom on the nose and palate, and a somewhat creamy mouthfeel. Perfect for enjoying with friends or family. A wine for all seasons and all moments.
Also an ideal wine with scallops or other shellfish, but also as an aperitif or with soft white mold cheeses. Additionally, they pair excellently with dishes featuring black winter truffle which originate in abundance from this region.
The grapes for the Domaine de Grangeneuve les Dames Blanches du Sud—Viognier, Marsanne, Roussanne, and Grenache Blanc—are fermented together in stainless steel tanks. This fermentation lasts for 4 weeks at a constant low temperature and then rests on the lees for some time. It is stirred regularly, which in turn contributes to greater complexity in the wine.
You always play it safe with the wines Domaine de Grangeneuve, technically well-cared-for, honest, pure, and with a delightful fruity character. Domaine de Grangeneuve has been a benchmark for the region since its founding in 1964. We always enjoy stopping by whenever we are in the area.
The wines of Domaine de Grangeneuve are made from typical Rhône grapes such as Grenache, Syrah and viognierThey are pure and full of character and offer excellent value for money.
The estate has been managed by Henri Jr. since 1980, and under his leadership, it grew into one of the most highly regarded in the region.
The region and the appellation Grignan-les-Adhemar are located in the immediate vicinity of the charming village of Grignan in the Drôme. From afar, you can see the famous Château de Sévigne towering above the village. Incidentally, this appellation used to be called Coteaux du Tricastin. However, after a minor leak incident in a nearby nuclear reactor of the same name, it was decided to change the name. Consequently, the wines from this appellation have undergone an improvement in quality. In the past, the grapes were sold to the cooperative, but nowadays they are proud to ferment their own grapes into quality wine.
