The Fantini Gran Cuvée Rosé is your ultimate love wine. For young and old! It is a wine to enjoy life with your loved one and to stay comfortably on that pink cloud. And of course, every day is suitable for that. This is the wine you pour with a croissant and strawberries in the morning at breakfast in bed. But naturally, also at a romantic picnic and during a cozy drink on a bobbing boat while reed sailing. Okay, okay, we are getting a bit romantic here, but the Fantini Gran Cuvée Rosé is a delicious wine for many moments together. A fresh and aromatic wine. A pomegranate pink color with an intense and powerful aroma of red fruit with hints of ripe sour cherry, cassis, and wild strawberry. On the palate, this wine is pleasantly aromatic, well-balanced, and fresh. Not super bone-dry, but rather approachable. The finish is soft and the wine has a long-lasting mousse. If you want to pair it with food, that is possible too! It is excellently suited, for example, with mildly spicy Asian dishes, but also with fruit salads or, for instance, a strawberry/rhubarb tart.
The sparkling wine Gran Cuvée Rosé from Fantini Farnese comes from the vineyards near the city of Acerenza in Basilicata. It is produced exclusively with Aglianico del Vulture-grapes (and that is quite unique, since these grapes are usually used for a robust glass of red.) The grapes are harvested by hand and pressed whole. The pressing is done very carefully; after all, the color of the wine must not turn red. Fermentation lasts 20 days at a low temperature of 18 degrees Celsius. The second fermentation takes place in 4,000-liter stainless steel tanks under overpressure for 60 days. We call this method the Charmat Method, and we also see it used in Prosecco production, for example.
The land of Vulture in Basilicata is full of passion and drive, and consequently of magnificent wines. The soils of volcanic origin have enriched the ground with important minerals, and the intensely dry climate has created the conditions for the cultivation of exceptionally ripe grapes with an intense flavor. The producers, the winegrowers, and their centuries-old traditions contribute to the creation of wines with a unique and fantastic taste experience.
