The white wine Feudo Arancio Dalila Riserva is a blend of two grapes: the local Grillo grape (80%) and the internationally renowned Viognier grape (20%). This is a wine that surprises with its lush and almost “creamy” character. A “liquid sunshine in the glass”. It is not a crisp, acidic white wine, but rather a soft, generous wine that embraces you.
Feudo Arancio Dalila Riserva is a white wine offering excellent value for money. It is a wine that is rich and complex in aroma and taste at a favorable price. It is a Riserva with refined oak aging. The Grillo ages in stainless steel tanks to preserve its mineral freshness, while the Viognier undergoes elegant maturation in French oak. After blending, the wine rests in the bottle for several months, resulting in a velvety texture and complex aromas.
This wine is rich enough to serve with dinner, but soft enough to enjoy on its own during a long evening. What do you serve with it?
The Dalila Riserva is a seductive, rich white wine that lets you taste Sicily at its sunniest. Ideal for those who love a wine with body and a soft, fruity aroma and taste. Do not drink it ice-cold. At a temperature of 10-12 degrees, the aromas fully emerge from your glass, allowing you to enjoy this wine to the fullest.
The name Feudo Arancio refers to the nearby Lago Arancio, an impressive reservoir in southwestern Sicily that plays a crucial role in the local ecosystem and agriculture. This nature reserve, surrounded by hills and sun-drenched vineyards, forms the heart of the terroir from which Feudo Arancio derives its characterful wines.
In 2001, the estate was acquired by the renowned wine cooperative Mezzacorona, a leading player in the Italian wine world. At the time of the acquisition, the estate was in a dilapidated state, but Mezzacorona saw the enormous potential of the location, soils, and climate precisely here. With a long-term vision, a large-scale renovation and investment program was launched.
The existing vineyards were carefully restored and replanted, with a strong focus on sustainable viticulture and respect for the natural landscape. In addition, the old wine cellar was completely replaced by a modern, technologically advanced winery, designed to vinify grapes as purely and controllably as possible. An innovative irrigation system was also installed, essential in the warm and dry Sicilian climate, where efficient water use and quality are central.
Today, Feudo Arancio symbolizes modern Sicilian winemaking, in which traditional grape varieties such as Nero d’Avola, Grillo, and Inzolia are combined with international varieties like Syrah and Chardonnay. Thanks to the expertise of Mezzacorona and the unique terroir around Lago Arancio, the wines succeed in perfectly balancing intense fruit, Mediterranean warmth, and fresh elegance.
