The Guerrieri Rizzardi Bardolino Chiaretto, nicknamed “Keya” (a wine already created in 1896). In recent years, the dark color has had to make way for a somewhat lighter version due to commercial pressure. Fortunately, the taste has lost nothing! The result is a generous, rich rosé with an abundance of red fruit and watermelon aromas. A captivating nose and a taste that is refreshingly dry. Medium body, beautiful balance, and absolutely not a sweet fruit bomb. The wine has a light raspberry-like color with nice strawberry and watermelon aromas. Medium body, and a delicious and juicy glass. Beautiful balance and simply irresistible. A delightful summer glass that you rarely find better. Fantastic with a rice salad or for example with a vitello tonnato

KEYA is the result of several years of work. Here at Rizzardi, the aim was to create a rosé that best expresses their winemaking style and the personality of the vineyards in the hills overlooking Bardolino. The blend and color were then gradually adjusted to achieve a style that best embodies the qualities of Bardolino Chiaretto. The wine underwent a maceration on the skins lasting only 12 hours, after which the grapes were pressed immediately. Subsequently, the wine was treated just like a white wine and then underwent fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a low, controlled temperature in a completely oxygen-free environment.

The Guerrieri Rizzardi Bardolino Chiaretto is a tribute to Contessa M.C. Loredan's Venetian heritage, for it was she who led Guerrieri Rizzardi for many years and thus introduced many to Bardolino Chiaretto as a wine. Finally, the name is a simple play on the first two syllables of Chi-a-ret-to (KEY-A).

The centuries-spanning annals of the Guerrieri Rizzardi winery reveal that it originated from a union between two counts: Guerrieri and Rizzardi. The vineyards are situated in the mountains east of Lake Garda, near Bardolino. Looking back, the estate has been in the hands of the Rizzardi family for many years, and beautiful Veronese wines are produced on the four ‘Classico’ vineyards: Valpolicella, Soave, Bardolino, and Valdadige.
