For lovers of rich, oak-aged Chardonnay wines, this is the one! The Jeanette “Inevitable” Chardonnay Reserve from the South of France has it all. A beautiful dark yellow color, with aromas of fruit and vanilla. On the palate, the oak aging is also beautifully present, with lovely rich notes of the Chardonnay. Everything is well balanced! 

Jeanette “Inevitable” Chardonnay Reserve ages for a long time in new French oak. In addition to the fruit, this gives this white wine a creamy character with round, vanilla, and wood notes. The wood is present but does not overpower. The wine retains its juicy fruit aromas and fresh acidity. The nose features notes of toasted almond, peaches, and vanilla. On the palate, you taste plenty of white and yellow fruit, such as peaches, apricots, and yellow plums. This is complemented by notes of vanilla, toast, and spiciness. The finish is delightfully long, with fresh acidity. The Chardonnay is suitable as an aperitif, among other things. For example, it can be enjoyed during a card game or with a delicious summer salad, but it is certainly not to be underestimated with grilled scallops and a beurre blanc. Get ready to feast!

Les Vignerons de Narbonne

Spread across four villages near Narbonne (Narbonne, Ouveillan, Sallèles d’Aude, and Vinassan), some 330 winegrowers dedicate themselves every day to producing the most magnificent wines from the grapes of this beautiful region. Under the umbrella brand Néotera (literally: ‘the birth of a new terroir’), a state-of-the-art Cooperative has been established here. With just one goal: to produce accessible and exemplary wines for the region. This is achieved using, among other things, super modern technologies, without losing sight of the old traditions and flavors. The winegrowers of Les Vignerons du Narbonnais are acutely aware of the need to preserve the unique character and history of this region for future generations. The cultivation, selection, harvesting, and processing of the grapes are therefore carried out sustainably, with respect for the soil, nature (in and around the vineyards), and, as befits the French, social cohesion.

These are nice words, as long as they are actually lived up to, of course. We have been there, and believe us: they are doing their absolute best!

The quality of the wines from Les Vignerons du Narbonnais has surprised us very pleasantly. The collaboration within the cooperative has led to better quality on all fronts, with some magnificent standouts in Chardonnay and merlot.
