    Reviews

This product has no reviews yet.

Eymann has created a wonderfully refined white wine with this Riesling. Beautiful flavors of citrus, apple, apricot, and a hint of heather honey on the nose. Pleasant acidity, yet full and soft. A beautifully clear finish and finely balanced. A pleasant touch of residual sweetness. Moreover, this Riesling is produced using biodynamic methods. Harold Hamersma also tasted this wine and gave it an 8.5!

    Hamersma on Eymann Riesling

Harold Hamersma described this wine in his book De Grote Hamersma 2019 as follows: "No herbicides, pesticides or fertilizers. But Eymann does have a generous hand in winemaking. Think of fully ripe gold renet in an ultimate, refreshing liquid form. Beautifully fresh, mineral and with wonderful acidity. The purity radiates from the glass." Rating: 8.5.”

    Eymann Riesling

The wijngoed Eymann is located in the center of the German wine-growing region Palatinate, in southwestern Germany. The vineyards are situated on the upper terraces of the Rhine, which were formed during the last Ice Age. Although viticulture has taken place here for 2,000 years – the Romans started it back then – wine has only been produced organically since 1983. The winery owns 15 hectares of vineyards, on which various grape varieties are cultivated. The well-known grape varieties Riesling and Pinot Blanc cover 5 hectares, while the other 5 hectares are planted with Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Silvaner, Gewürztraminer, and Muskateller. The remaining 5 hectares feature red grape varieties such as Pinot Noir, as well as Dornfelder, St. Laurent, Regent, Merlot, and Cabernet Cubin.

    Food and wine pairing

The wine is very suitable as an aperitif and as an accompaniment to fish dishes, salads, and asparagus.
