    Pure and refined Sauvignon Blanc

The Marco Felluga Collio Sauvignon Blanc comes from a region with large temperature variations and average sunshine. This results in a wealth of aromas here, but without going over the top. The wine is refined and pure. It is essentially bottled mountain air!

Tasting note Marco Felluga Collio Sauvignon Blanc

A wine that really perks you up. Beautiful yellow and fresh green hues. On the nose, hints of sage, pepper, and elderberries. Do not expect New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc with an abundance of tropical fruit. Here, moreover, there is refinement and finesse. On the palate, a pleasant freshness with great finesse, good balance, nice acidity, and a long finish. This Marco Felluga Collio Sauvignon Blanc is made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc grapes, which are harvested by hand. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. The wine ages on the lees for several months before being bottled. This ensures even more complexity.

Delicious with fresh salads with, for example, goat cheese and sun-dried tomatoes, or with Caesar Salad. Also delicious with zucchini spaghetti with shrimp, oysters, or sushi.

Where does the wine come from?

Roberto Felluga represents the fifth generation of the Marco Felluga winery. The Felluga family and wine go hand in hand. In 1936, Marco took the helm and founded the current Marco Felluga wine estate.

Marco Felluga Winery is located in Collio, in the wine region. Friuli, one of the very first areas in Italy (the third) to receive DOC recognition in 1964 is a special landscape, with barely defined reliefs and characterized by gentle hills.

The climate is mild, thanks to the proximity of the Adriatic Sea (30 km) and the protection of the mountains, the Julian Pre-Alps, ideal for viticulture, with warm days and cool nights in spring and mild and delicate summers.

Each hill has its own microclimate, and the sandstone and marl soils are therefore the ideal habitat for vineyards and grape cultivation. This type of soil, characterized by the layering of marl and sandstone, flysch ( ponca in Friulian), was formed approximately 100 million years ago in the Oceanic era by the phenomenon of erosion.
