The San Marzano Gran Trio Bianco is an honest, friendly white blend of Chardonnay, Fiano, Malvasia, exotic fruit, mango, pineapple, apricot, lychee, and a touch of sweetness. It has a beautiful, clear golden-yellow color with a fresh green tinge. The aroma reveals light impressions of walnut, almonds, and pineapple. On the palate, it is a refreshing, clean wine with flavors of tart apple, orange blossom, citrus, banana, and peach. The finish is long-lasting and has a light, honey-like sweetness. The San Marzano Gran Trio Bianco is a delightful summer aperitif wine, especially good with light antipasti! Additionally, it pairs excellently with shellfish and fish dishes with light sauces, such as an Italian fish stew. In short, a delicious crowd-pleaser.
Cantine San Marzano
In 1962, 19 winegrowers from San Marzano joined forces and founded “Cantine San Marzano”. Today, this cooperative numbers more than 1,200 growers and utilizes modern and technologically advanced facilities without compromising Puglia’s very old wine tradition. San Marzano is located in Puglia, in the heart of the highly acclaimed DOC “Primitivo di Manduria”, between two seas (the Ionian and the Adriatic). The provinces of Taranto and Brindisi offer a landscape where vineyards and olive trees grow side by side on a red soil. This soil and the Mediterranean terroir play an essential role in the production of high-quality wines. The climate is extreme, with challenging conditions to boot: drought, frost, and Sirocco winds. Nevertheless, these passionate winemakers ensure that even grapes from the oldest vineyards yield full-bodied and elegant wines.
