Cherries, red fruit jam, berries, a hint of pepper, blackberries, a touch of leather and a spicy finish — all beautifully balanced and silky smooth. This wine is full of flavour and delightfully round in the mouth. Sartori di Verona Amarone della Valpolicella comes straight from the heart of the Valpolicella, located in the hills northeast of Verona, in the region Veneto, Northern Italy.
The blend consists of 50% Corvina Veronese, 30% Corvinone, 15% Rondinella and 5% other indigenous grape varieties. For lovers of robust, powerful red wines, this is an absolute must. The distinctive drying technique used to make this wine results in an intensely concentrated flavor that lingers.
Psst: Prefer something lighter? Then try the Valpolicella of this house!
This Amarone is characterized by a full body with a velvety texture. You immediately taste the depth, with notes of dried fruit and a refined interplay of spices. The finish is long, warming, and rounded off with a spicy touch. Thanks to its intensity and layering, it is the ideal accompaniment to robust dishes.
Perfect combinations:
Game such as deer or wild boar
Grilled meat and leg of lamb
Aged cheeses such as Parmigiano-Reggiano
Gorgonzola or other blue cheeses
Savory stews bursting with flavor
Roasted duck or goose
The Sartori di Verona Amarone della Valpolicella elevates every meal to a higher level.
Winery Sartori is located in the heart of the legendary Valpolicella region. This region is known for its traditional appassimento method, where the grapes dry slowly after the harvest. After being picked by hand, the grapes are carefully placed in small crates. They then dry for three months in well-ventilated rooms. As soon as they have reached the ideal moisture loss, they are gently pressed.
Fermentation takes place over a period of about thirty days in stainless steel tanks. This is followed by the malolactic fermentation in concrete vats. The aging then takes place for three years in large oak barrels. After bottling, the wine rests in the bottle for at least six months. This entire process is essential for achieving the rich structure and layered flavor.
