Here, they settled in the small town of Patù, in the heart of Salento, at the southernmost tip of Puglia. The town is incorporated into the bottle label. This Primitivo embodies the harmony and embracing warmth of Patù. A powerful yet elegant wine, bursting with sun-baked fruit, Mediterranean spiciness, and a light and elegant finish. The Tenuta Giustini Vecchio Sogno Negroamaro is the origin of the winery. It is the beginning of the story. “Vecchio Sogno” literally means “old dream” in Italian. This refers to the dream of a family wanting to start a wine estate. Not just any family: the family of Giuseppe Papadopoli. For years, they cultivated grapes for other wineries. In 2005, the dream finally became a reality, and the Tenuta Giustini Family Business was established. The result is this 100% Negroamaro, in which, alongside the potential of Italian Puglia, you taste the love, passion, and experience of no less than four generations! The Tenuta Giustini Areale Primitivo di Manduria is a wonderful reference to the region: Manduria. The meaning of the Italian word “Areale” is, after all, “surroundings” or “area.” Giustini also showcases this environment on the label; between land and sea. With this wine, the Tenuta Giustini family business presents Primitivo as we like to see it best: full-bodied, sun-drenched fruit, and lightly spicy. The aroma is reminiscent of ripe, sweet cherries and plums with a hint of tobacco and spiciness. On the palate, some balsamic notes emerge along with sultry vanilla. Very seductive.
