• Damilano Barbera d’Asti DOCG: Barbera d’Asti is just as much a household name in northern Italy as Barolo. Naturally, it is a different wine in a different style, but of just as high quality! The Damilano Barbera d’Asti is made from 100% Barbera grapes in the Monferrato region of Piedmont. It is a dark red wine with a fruity aroma of cherries, currants, violets, and a hint of vanilla thanks to oak aging. The calcareous loam soil of the vineyards ensures a beautiful elegance in the wines. Serve these wines with an appetizer, red meat, or aged cheeses for an optimal food and wine pairing.
• Biscardo Enigma Appassimento Sangiovese: This wine has been at the top of Vivino user rankings for months. An enigma while still in the bottle, but when you take a sip, you understand exactly why! An intense, black color with deep, sweet, ripe aromas of dark forest fruit, light licorice, and woody notes. Full, soft, and ripe on the palate with a long finish. The Sangiovese grapes are dried for several months before pressing, just as is done with Amarone. This results in a more concentrated juice, making the wine incredibly intense and full-bodied. • Fantini Edizione Cinque AutoctoniThis wine also tops the Vivino user rankings, and wine critic Luca Maroni gives it his highest score! Cinque Autoctoni, five authentic grape varieties: Malvasia Nero, Montepulciano, Negroamaro, Primitivo, and Sangiovese. The goal of this blend was to create a wine that would encapsulate Southern Italy, forged with the best vines from the region. And they certainly succeeded! Dark in color, with intense and persistent aromas. Fruity cherries with aromatic spices, cinnamon, cocoa, and a hint of licorice. Firm structure, but wonderfully soft tannins and a fine freshness. Pairs very well with spicy dishes or a venison steak!
