The Wine House Luretta, Organic and with care

The Luretta winery, located in the valley of the Luretta River, is owned by the Salamini family. In the late 1980s, they purchased land around their village of Gazzola and began their wine adventure. The Malvasia Dolce from Castel Vento is produced with respect for nature and according to organic principles. The vineyards are situated on calcareous marl soil and are harvested in two picking periods: the first just before full ripeness to preserve freshness, and the second when the grapes are fully ripe. This blend is a nod to Sauternes. The wine is aged 100% in stainless steel tanks and filtered before bottling, ensuring a pure, fresh taste.

With the arrival of winemaker Alberto Faggiani in 2012, Lucio Salamini has significantly improved the quality of the wines. Together, they determine the harvest time by tasting, and the wines are now fermented with their own yeasts. The Malvasia Dolce from Castel Vento won the 2016 Proefschrift Wine of the Year award and stands head and shoulders above other finalists thanks to its fine aromas and beautiful tension provided by the acidity.
