Museum Rosé Cigales – fresh, mineral, and refined from Spain

The Finca Museum Rosé Cigales is an elegant Spanish rosé from the Cigales region. The wine consists of 75% Tempranillo, 15% Verdejo, and 10% Garnacha. This combination of red and white grapes yields ripe fruit, floral notes, and striking freshness in the wine.

The vineyards are situated at an altitude of 700 to 800 meters. It can be hot there during the day, while the nights cool down significantly. These are good conditions that allow the grapes to develop fresh acidity and an aromatic character. The terroir contributes to a pleasant minerality in the wine.

How does the Spanish rosé Museum Rosé taste?

    • The nose reveals floral aromas with hints of stone fruit, peach, and green apple.
    • On the palate, the wine is fresh and mineral. The good acidity gives the wine tension and makes it easy to drink.
    • Long finish with floral and fruity notes.

Manual harvest and ripening on the lees

The grapes are harvested by hand and carefully selected. Subsequently, the whole grapes are pressed immediately. This gives the wine its refined color and fresh, clean taste.

Fermentation and aging take approximately one month in stainless steel tanks. During this period, the wine remains on the fine lees. This imparts extra structure, softness, and aromatic depth.

    Rosé from historic Cigales

The Spanish region of Cigales is located north of Madrid and has a long tradition in the production of rosé wines. Locally, these wines are known as claretes. They are made by processing red and white grapes together.

The poor soil consists of gravel, sand, limestone, chalk, clay, and marl. This subsoil limits the yield and contributes to the mineral style of the wine.

What do you eat at Finca Museum Rosé?

This versatile rosé pairs perfectly with:

    • paella and other rice dishes
    • pasta with tomato or seafood
    • grilled fish and shellfish
    • chicken, turkey and other white meat
    • salads and Mediterranean starters

Serve the Finca Museum Rosé Cigales at approximately 8 to 10 °C. This allows the fresh fruit, minerality, and floral aromas to come into their own.
