Where four vineyards come together in one wine.

Cantine Ermes Quattro Quarti Appassimento Rosso  is a wonderfully smooth red wine with notes of ripe red fruit such as berries, strawberry, herbs, and dark chocolate. The taste is intense, powerful, and silky smooth with a long, spicy and fruity finish. The vineyards are all located close to the sea and benefit from the cooling sea breeze, ensuring that the wine also has plenty of fresh acidity. This makes the wine refined and easy to drink at the same time!

The wine Cantine Ermes Quattro Quarti Appassimento Rosso is made from a blend of three grape varieties. Primitivo, Nero di Troia and Sangiovese, and are all very well known in Southern Italy. Individually, the grapes already guarantee a glass full of dark fruit. By combining these grapes, a special and flavorful blend of ripe cherries, blackcurrants, currants, and dark chocolate is created. The wine pairs wonderfully with roasted or grilled beef, lamb, or goat. Or, for example, a Moroccan tagine with plums. The ideal serving temperature is 16-18ºC.

    Appassimento method

The Italians, they love it! And so do we! The wine is made using the appassimento method. For this, the grapes are partially dried before being pressed. The grapes lose a lot of moisture and the flavor concentration of the grape juice increases. A wine that will appeal to many! Wa

    Cantine Ermes

The history of Cantine Ermes It has its roots in a recent past of destruction and reconstruction. On the night of January 14-15, 1968, an earthquake of devastating proportions destroyed part of the small towns of the Belìce Valley. But a group of young winemakers picked themselves up and decided to start over together and follow a path of growth and social and economic redemption. In 1998, the holding company Cantine Ermes was founded, whose headquarters are located in the heart of the Belìce Valley, between the municipalities of Gibellina and Santa Ninfa. Today, Cantine Ermes is one of the island's leading productive enterprises, with its 2,355 members and 10,554 hectares of vineyards, of which 2,786 are organically farmed.
