Superior Valpolicella: More power, more fruit, more flavor

Valpolicella Superiore is actually a somewhat unknown type of wine. More frequent and more powerful in style than the often “Beaujolais”-like ordinary wines. ValpolicellaHowever, what many do not know is that the “Ripasso” technique can give the wine this more intense style. The word Ripasso may therefore be mentioned, but it is not strictly necessary. It is all very confusing. However, in any case, our Antiche Terre Venete Valpolicella Superiore has also undergone this technique. The grapes are harvested by hand and carefully selected before being placed in crates, where they “dry” for several weeks to months. After fermentation, the wine is aged in oak barrels before bottling to allow further refinement to take place in the bottle.

The color of the Antiche Terre Venete Valpolicella Superiore is deep garnet. Delicious dark aromas of sweet and soft fruit such as blackberries and Amarene cherries, combined with aromas of Mediterranean herbs such as thyme and bay leaf that emerge upon tasting. A soft, unctuous wine, silky and smooth, with a complex and spicy finish. Very seductive and easy to drink. Velvety. Fine with veal fricandeau or for braising chicken. The Antiche Terre Venete Valpolicella Superiore is made from the mandatory Corvinone, Corvina, and Rondinella grapes.

    Antiche Terrre Venete

Antiche Terre Venete owns approximately 50 hectares of vineyards in Valpantena. An area with a rich history, unique characteristics, and beautiful views of the many vineyards that characterize the Valpolicella region. They work with great respect for the environment and the landscape. They work there with great care, love, and passion. The harvest at Antiche Terre Venete is carried out entirely by hand.

The history of the Antiche Terre Venete winery from the present-day Valpolicella region began as early as the 1900s. Even then, Vittorio had a strong connection to his land and his vineyards. He devoted all his energy to working in the vineyards and his olive trees in the Valpantena. The family's winemaking passed down from generation to generation, from son Sergio to nephew Luciano. Upon his return from China, he met the Degani family, after which they decided together to dedicate their dream, passion, and skills to Antiche Terre Venete. The synergy between Richard Degani's enthusiasm and Luciano Sancassani's experience and knowledge has made this company a great success.
