This 100% Chardonnay from Bader-Mimeur Château de Chassagne-Montrachet belongs to the absolute top of Burgundy! Liquid gold in the glass with some green hues. On the nose, aromas of white fruit, breadcrumbs, flowers, and honey greet you. On the palate, very pure and fresh, yet wonderfully round and full. Velvety smooth on the tongue, combined with a touch of bitterness and acidity, makes this wine a timeless winner! A beautiful wine where you savor every drop!
The Bader-Mimeur Château de Chassagne-Montrachet Blanc pairs perfectly with rich, fatty flavors such as oily fish or foie gras. Additionally, it goes very well with chicken or asparagus. A versatile wine that elevates any occasion. One that certainly should not be missing from your wine cellar!
The village of Chassagne-Montrachet, where this magnificent wine originates, is located in the Côte de Beaune, at the southern tip of the Côte d’Or. As the name suggests—golden slope—the absolute gems of the wine world come from here. The microclimate is ideal for producing the finest grapes; the wind brings both warmth and coolness and has the added benefit of blowing away bad weather. The broad Montrachet ridge also forms a good natural barrier.
Château de Chassagne-Montrachet It has existed since the 13th century. Since 1919, it has been in the possession of the Mimeur family, when it was acquired by Charles Mimeur. Domaine Bader-Mimeur is the result of the marriage between Charles Bader, son of Parisian wine merchants, and Elise Mimeur, daughter of Charles Mimeur. Since 1993, the estate has been in the hands of Marie-Pierre and her husband Alain. They adhere to the philosophy of cultivating the vineyards in the most natural way to produce the best grapes and the highest quality wines. Today, the Bader-Mimeur family manages 98% of all vineyards in Chassagne-Montrachet and the villages in Saint Aubin.
