A beauty of a Chardonnay from the South!

This Beauté du Sud Chardonnay is truly a velvety wine with a golden yellow color and aromas of yellow fruit, vanilla, roasted nuts, and butterscotch. The taste is full and elegant with a wonderfully long finish. Not over the top, yet very versatile. Chill well, but also serves it a bit fresher. It does seek out the creaminess of dishes. Excellent with canapés with homemade hummus or baba ganoush, scallops with beurre blanc, oven-roasted chicken with tarragon, vitello tonnato, vegetable tarts, creamy risottos, mild blue cheeses, and chutneys. Delicious in winter and summer for all your wine lovers.

The grapes for this wine come from the Languedoc. A Mediterranean climate with hot summers and fairly mild winters. The northern mountains surround the
vineyards like an amphitheatre. The soils of the vineyards contain calcareous sand and red clay full of stones. These heated stones ensure that maturation continues longer during the night.

The Beauté du Sud Chardonnay is made by Alain Grignon.  Alain, a man un-Frenchly down-to-earth, and looking at the rest of the wine world with an “open mind”.He has many artisanal winegrowers from regions such as Minervois, Fitou, Corbières, Roussillon, Faugères, Limoux, Gascogne, etc., brought together in collaboration that shares his vision to this day.

    Languedoc

The Languedoc is popular with both wine drinkers and winemakers. The possibilities are endless, meaning the region can offer something for everyone in the form of characterful wines at a competitive price. The area has undergone a spectacular transformation over the past few decades. Winemakers in the Languedoc have also adopted the concept from the so-called New World of using the name of the grape(s) used as the main information on the label. The major advantage of this is that the consumer has a point of reference and can expect a specific taste profile. Alain Grignon owns a winery in Carcassonne that processes all the healthy grapes from the surrounding area into delicious wines. Since 1998, he has been making wines here just the way consumers like them best: smooth, fruity, accessible, and above all, affordable. The Beauté du Sud Chardonnay is a good example of this.
