Very friendly St. Émilion Grand Cru for an equally friendly price!

With the Château Rozier St Émilion Grand Cru, a first-class red wine enters the glass. A dense, crimson color. And a little swirling in the wine glass reveals this red wine's high viscosity, with large tears on the glass. The nose of this red wine from Bordeaux convinces with aromas of plums, black cherries, blackberries, and prunes. It is precisely the fruity character that makes this wine so special. The Château Rozier St Émilion Grand Cru inspires with its elegantly dry taste. As you would naturally expect from a wine in this price range, this French wine enchants you immediately.

This silky red wine is powerful and complex on the palate. And thanks to its vibrant fruit acidity, the Saint-Emilion Grand Cru is fantastically fresh and lively. On the finish, this red wine from the Bordeaux wine region, which ages well, inspires with its considerable length. Once again, there are hints of mulberry and blackcurrant. Mineral notes from the soil, which is dominated by gravel and marl, come together in the finish. All in all, a classic Bordeaux that is perfectly suited for hearty dishes such as Beef Wellington, Pigeon with foie gras, Entrecote (pan-fried or grilled), Goose (possibly stuffed), Hare stew, or saddle of hare. Drink this red wine from France at a temperature of 15–18°C; room temperature is definitely too warm.

Vinification of Château Rozier Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

The powerful Saint-Emilion Grand Cru from France is a cuvée made from the Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot grape varieties. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Bordeaux. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of sand, limestone, clay, gravel, and marl. A unique aspect of the creation of this top wine from Château Rozier is the fact that the grapes in Saint-Émilion Grand Cru (FR) grow on stone terraces. Unfortunately, this traditional form of vineyard design is very complex and therefore rarely encountered. This French wine can be described as a wine from the Old World in the true sense of the word and presents itself as exceptionally distinguished.

The ripening of the grapes for this wine, made from Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot, is largely influenced by the climate of the growing region. In Bordeaux, the grapes thrive in a relatively cool climate, which is reflected, among other things, in particularly long and uniform grapes and a fairly moderate must weight. The grapes for this red wine from France are harvested exclusively by hand after optimal ripeness has been ensured. After the harvest, the grapes quickly reach the winery. Here, they are sorted and carefully crushed. This is followed by fermentation in small wooden vats at controlled temperatures. Then, a few months of aging on the fine lees before the wine is finally racked.
