Fruity, yet with depth! You detect cranberry, eucalyptus, blackberries, a hint of pepper, spiciness, and vanilla. The Domaine Bousquet Reserve Organic Malbec is a lovely expression of 100% organically grown Malbec grapes. From Tupungato in the Uco Valley, Mendoza, Argentina. Located high in the mountains, approximately 1,200 meters above sea level, the vineyards benefit from a cool climate and sandy soil. This results in a refined wine with a beautiful balance between power and freshness.
In the mood for a variant with a bit less oak aging? Then try its little brother, the Malbec Organic.
This Malbec has a seductive aromatic profile. On the nose, you find blackberries, plums, and a subtle spiciness. On the palate, it has a full, rich flavor. Dark fruit is beautifully balanced by soft tannins and a subtle hint of oak. The result is an elegant yet powerful wine with a long, velvety finish.
Thanks to its structure and refined complexity, this Bousquet Reserve Organic Malbec comes into its own perfectly with hearty dishes. Combine it with:
The family Bousquet has a rich wine tradition dating back to the South of France. For four generations, they have specialized in making quality wines, and in the 1990s, they decided to apply their knowledge to Argentine soil. They found in the Uco Valley the perfect conditions: high altitude, many hours of sunshine and a combination of minerality and freshness.
To enhance the intensity of the wine, the grapes are hand-picked and subsequently cold-macerated for 48 hours. This process results in a deeper color and intensifies the fruity aromas. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures, using carefully selected yeasts to preserve the pure expression of the grape. The wine then ages for 10 months in French oak barrels, which adds extra complexity and subtle woody notes.
Today Domaine Bousquet belongs to the leading organic wine producers of Argentina. With a focus on sustainability, they make wines that both the combine power of the New World and the finesse of the Old World !
