    Domaine Lafage: Sixth Generation of Winemakers in Roussillon

    What beautiful wines makes Domaine Lafage Nevertheless. What many do not yet know is that this French winery also produces beautiful dessert wines. In the Lafage range, we find 3 different dessert wines, with a suitable pairing for every dessert. Domaine Lafage is located in the south of France between the southern French coast and the Pyrenees near Perpignan. Here, this beautiful winery with a rich history has no less than 140 hectares of beautiful vineyards.

    Today, the sixth generation is at the helm. Jean-Marc Lafage and his wife Eliane have brought much innovation to the company while preserving family traditions. Furthermore, they work just as hard on the estate as everyone else. Jean-Marc is even the winemaker! The couple has gained experience worldwide—from North America to Chile, from South Africa to Australia—to expand their knowledge of winemaking.

    Nestled between the azure Mediterranean Sea and the mighty Pyrenees lies one of our finest wineries: Domaine Lafage. Over the past 20 years, Jean-Marc and Eliane have sought out the best plots in the Roussillon wine region. They now own 350 hectares of vineyards, from the coast to the foothills of the Pyrenees.

    AOP Maury

    AOP Maury is a small wine region named after the village of Maury in the south of Languedoc-Roussillon, slightly northwest of Perpignan at the foot of the Pyrenees. However, the villages of Maury, Tautavel, Saint-Paul-de-Fenouillet, and Rasiguères also fall within this appellation. Maury Grenat is afkomstig van een handmatige oogst, met een uiterst strenge druivenselectie aan de wijnstok én op de sorteertafel. De wijn heeft meer dan 5 jaar gerijpt: 60% in betonnen tanks en 40% in eikenhouten vaten.

The picked bunches are transported in small crates to the winery, after which pressing takes place.
