    The President’s Choice

The Graham Beck Brut ‘Méthode Cap Classique’ Brut NV, affectionately called the ‘President’s Choice’, was therefore served at both the inauguration of Nelson Mandela and the presidential victory of Barack Obama.

Once tasted, you won't be able to imagine life without it.

This delicious sparkling wine exudes light yeasty aromas, citrusy fresh fruit on the nose, and a rich, creamy complexity on the palate. This Brut NV is intended to cleanse the palate and stimulate the taste buds. The fine mousse provides freshness and finesse. The Graham Beck Brut ‘Méthode Cap Classique’ will therefore surprise you and take you straight to the ‘next level’ in your tasting journey. When you are introduced to the Brut NV, your love affair begins with Graham Beck – these versatile and engaging bubbles will soon become an absolute staple of your repertoire. Always make sure you have a bottle or several kept in the fridge! You are indeed in good company when enjoying these iconic bubbles from Graham Beck. Graham Beck makes something that comes “very close” to champagne, and at only half the price.

    Grape varieties and vinification
From Madiba magic (nickname for Nelson Mandela) to Obama mania – Graham Beck Brut is the bubbly to surpass! It was the celebratory drink of choice for both Nelson Mandela's inauguration and Barack Obama's victory. The grapes for this wine come from a selection of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes from our vineyards in Robertson, Franschoek, and Stellenbosch. By using the whole bunch during pressing, winemaker Pieter can separate different qualities (Fractional Recovery). This technique is also used in Champagne. This forms the basis for the quality classification into Cuvée, Premier taille, and Deuxième taille. After the wine has settled, both grape varieties are fermented separately. Subsequently, they are blended with reserve wine, bottled, and the wine has 15 to 18 months of yeast contact before disgorgement.

    Wine/food pairing
Serve this beautiful Method Cap Classique with fish, foie gras, salmon, and caviar. Also delicious with asparagus and artichokes.
