Wonderful Prosecco DOCG
La Goioisa Valdobbiadene Prosecco DOCG comes from the best area for this Italian sparkling wine! Because there is prosecco and then there is prosecco. And this is the real one from the hills of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene region in the Veneto area. After all, this is where the best proseccos with highest quality label D.O.C.G. come from! A traditional prosecco of top class, at a top price too. In fact: This prosecco brought a smile to the face of the not-so-prosecco drinker.
The bubbles of the La Goioisa Valdobbiadene Prosecco DOCG are remarkably fine and lively, the taste is soft, dry, and pleasant. The aroma is full of fruit, with fresh yellow apples, juicy pears, subtle notes of orange and peach, and something floral. You also detect a subtle hint of toast, similar to Champagne. A beautifully balanced wine with a rich mouthfeel.
A toast to Prosecco! For every festive moment. And delicious with Italian appetizers, for example: mozzarella with tomato and basil, mini pizzas, olives, capers, crostini with sun-dried tomatoes and ricotta, or with Parmesan and ham. But also with more elaborate dishes like spaghetti alle vongole or focaccia with formaggio and prosciutto.
Most Proseccos you see here come from the flatlands of the Treviso region. The Italians themselves have a strong preference for Proseccos from the hills of Valdobbiadene. The vineyards are situated much better, resulting in superior quality. Due to the greater altitude and slope, there is a larger difference between day and night temperatures and optimal sun exposure. This ensures that the grapes ripen evenly and can develop many different aromas; it contributes to the complexity. The soil is also essential. The hills of Valdobbiadene contain a lot of rocky limestone. This contributes, among other things, to beautiful minerality and a wine full of character. Hence the DOCG status: Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita.
The name of this Prosecco specialist refers to the coat of arms of Treviso – Marca Gioiosa et Amarosa (joyful and loving). This strongly aligns with the driving forces of the Moretti Polegato family. For three generations, they have led their company driven by this spirit, and you can taste it in the wines. La Gioiosa is located in Valdobbiadene, the heart of the Prosecco region and the part that has recently been granted DOCG status. The winemakers at La Gioiosa are constantly searching for the ideal conditions for the Prosecco grape, which offers far more possibilities than is often thought. They produce fresh frizzante wines with a distinctly elegant taste, as well as more complex spumante wines that rival the big names in this segment.
