This Côte de Beaune-Villages from Louis Latour is made from only the finest grapes from the vineyards that best represent the appellation. The Côte de Beaune-Villages appellation applies exclusively to red wines from 16 municipalities in the Côte de Beaune. The result is a brilliant ruby-red glass with juicy red fruit, earthy notes, and toasted accents. Balanced, refined, not overly complex, and a delight to drink! Cheers!
In the glass, the Louis Latour Côte de Beaune-Villages is a brilliant ruby red. The 100% Pinot Noir has aromas of strawberries, blackcurrants, and a characteristic earthiness with a smoky edge. On the palate, the wine is extremely elegant. Red fruit, cherries, blackcurrants, and mocha accompany you to a fresh, juicy finish. The Pinot Noir pairs perfectly with grilled meat dishes or an extensive Burgundian charcuterie board. Charcuterie, pâté, cheese—it all goes well!
The Pinot Noir-grapes for this Côte de Beaune-Villages come from vineyards in Saint-Aubin, Pernand-Vergelesses, and Auxey-Duresses, among others. The vineyards are rich in clay and limestone, and the vines are on average 25 years old. Every year, Louis Latour selects the perfect blend from the plots to best express the appellation. The harvest is done by hand, and the grapes ferment in the traditional manner in open vats. After fermentation, a portion of the wine ages in stainless steel tanks and a portion in small wooden barrels for 10 to 12 months. This yields the perfect combination of fresh fruitiness with round, toasted wood notes.
The family business Louis Latour has been active since the 17th century active in high-end viticulture. The winery is located in the Côte d’Or, in the heart of the Burgundy region. Here, they have been producing wines of outstanding quality for ten generations that rank among the best in the world. It is no wonder that Burgundy and Louis Latour are often mentioned in the same breath. Latour wines can be found particularly in upscale hospitality establishments. The house has since grown into a major global player and is active in more than sixty countries. Louis Latour wines are of high quality and sustainably produced.
