Biscardo Neropasso Originale Veneto Rosso: improbably good!

The Neropasso Rosso from winery Biscardo is truly a pleasure to drink: intense, juicy and refined. A red wine with a velvety taste that is delicious to drink on its own, but also a red wine that goes very well with red meat, for example. In the aroma you smell lots of juicy red fruit with a hint of vanilla. And what a price for this wine! This price-quality ratio is incredibly good!

The Biscardo Neropasso rosso originale comes from the Veneto region in northern Italy. Zelde wine is made according to the passito method. A portion of the grapes is dried before pressing. The moisture partially evaporates from the grapes, increasing their concentration. This gives this wine its concentrated and smooth taste. This method has been known for centuries and is best known for Amarone wines.

The red wine is made from a blend of 3 grape varieties, the Corvinone, Corvina and Cabernet Sauvignon. The grapes must be perfectly ripe when they are selected during the manual harvest. The thinnest bunches are chosen where with the grapes not too close together, allowing air to circulate between them during the passito. In large perforated bins, the grapes dry until enough moisture has evaporated.

The wine goes perfectly with pasta, white and red meats, fresh and aged cheeses. Thus, its versatility allows you to enjoy this wine in many ways!

Neropasso Rosso wins gold medal at Mundus Vini

At the important wine fair Mundus Vini 2019, the 2016 Neropasso Rosso was highly rated and won a gold medal! The German Mundus Vini is one of the largest competitions for quality wines in Europe.
