The Paradiso Posta Piana Salice Salentino from the heel of the boot of Italy…

Here we find the DOP Salice Salentino. A distinct DOP from the vineyards between the provinces of Brindisi and Lecce, and one of the most famous DOPs in southern Italy. The region is renowned for its “power” wines with a distinct and typical character. The wine owes this character, of course, to the warm, southern climate and the region’s special, ‘native’ grapes: Negroamaro and Malvasia Nera. Both are therefore included in the blend of this Paradiso Posta Piana Salice Salentino. A truly dark and impenetrable color, with violet reflections. The aroma of jammy ripe fruit, berries, and cherries. Impressions of black pepper, pleasantly bitter cocoa and spices, black cherries, some licorice, and coconut, typical of Malvasia Nera. The tannins are silky smooth, leaving a nice hint of jammy fruit on the palate. Long-lasting finish. Pleasant body. Soft tannins.

The Paradiso Posta Piana Salice Salentino is ideal with grilled chops of the (Spanish) Iberico pig and goes great with slow-reduced tomato sauces. Aged Italian cheeses with dried fruit and walnuts. The wine is made in a fairly elegant, not too harsh or dry style. It is perfectly suited to be enjoyed deliciously young. A true food wine. Also try a pasta with plenty of mushrooms.

    Apulië

The profile of Puglia could have been drawn by a stylist to make Italy look like a masterpiece: the “heel” that makes the Italian “boot” unique. Heels can be elegant, sporty, or daring thanks to a specific detail that makes all the difference. The heel of the Italian “boot” is made from three beautiful regions. Starting with L’Aquila, Campobasso, and then arriving in Bari, We discover rolling hills that turn into beautiful beaches as we approach the sea. Here, we can also explore ancient ruins that remind us of the splendor of the rich castles that once dominated these areas. Famous is Castel del Monte with its 8 watchtowers, made famous by the beautiful film "The Name of the Rose," based on the book by Umberto Eco.
