When you taste this, you will melt completely…

When Saint Andrew has to bow under the snow……there will be no success with the grain next year! A beautiful and at the same time old-fashioned saying from folk belief for the day of November 30th! Fortunately, there is no talk of grapes here. Let alone this Sant’Andrea from Puglia! It does snow here very sporadically, though! In fact, the warm weather grapes Nero di Troia and Primitivo feel very much at home here. You can also taste that in our Paradiso Sant'Andrea Nero di Troia / Primitivo.

A lovely, warm-blooded glass to end the day and start the evening. It is a pleasant drink to join in. The Paradiso Sant’Andrea Primitivo is ruby red with purple reflections. Quite an intense nose of ripe fruit and preserved amarena cherries. A robustly fruity wine, with plenty of forest fruits and cherries on the palate as well; otherwise, delightfully smooth and uncomplicated. It lingers nicely. It is a crowd-pleaser! A great wine for the student house or even for a party at home. Super affordable and great value for money. It is therefore pleasant to drink while watching Netflix or with cream-based pasta dishes, but also pairs well with Melanzane alla Parmeggiana. Also goes great with lasagna!

    Puglia: poor, poor

In Puglia, the economy has always lagged behind wealthier trading cities like Milan and Turin, and the tourist destinations of Venice and Rome. In the post-war years, southern farmers worked hard just to make ends meet. Grapes were often sold at prices that were far too low to wine and vermouth producers in northern Italy. Over the last 40 years, there has been growing awareness in Puglia regarding the potential quality of the grapes planted there. Puglia has not only undergone tremendous quality development but has also gained a much better image. Prices remain very affordable as well. This has been a clear result of European trade policy. Thanks to European support, we drink delicious, smooth wines from Puglia for next to nothing. Thus, the European community plays a clearly positive role here!

    Cantine Paradiso

Today, Cantine Paradiso owns about 30 hectares of vineyards, where they have planted both red and white grapes. In addition to very recognizable Negroamaro and Primitivo, Paradiso also produces other wines that reflect the terroir and climate of Puglia. Therefore, local grape varieties, such as Greco and Fiano, are also used for the white wines. Nowadays is Cantine Paradiso A wine producer, particularly known for its generous and rich red wines made from Primitivo, Negroamaro, and Nero di Troia. Their most famous and best wine is made from 100% Primitivo and is named after the first year of their existence: 1954.
