Veuve de Vernay Ice White is a light yellow sparkling wine from France. A festive bubble with a delightful sweetness and a fresh taste. Fruity, floral, and fresh with aromas of citrus fruits. Finely effervescent without being excessive. A young, soft bubble. The wine is made from the Airén and Ugno Blanc grapes.
The Veuve du Vernay Ice White is a party in itself. For the optimal experience, we start with a large wine glass—not a flute. Fill it with ice cubes. Pour the Veuve du Vernay Ice White over this. The wine has a distinct sweetness (demi-sec) with a pleasant mousse, but the taste is refreshing despite the slight sweetness. Moreover, the sweetness is tempered by the cold of the ice. This is super delicious for an aperitif or as an opening drink for a party! Success guaranteed!
We are super excited about the Veuve du Vernay ICE White. It is definitely a wine you must try!! This style of wine started as a trend by the well-known house Moët & Chandon. The packaging is therefore a beautiful pink foil for recognizability! Winemaker Jean-Jacques Hochet has given it his own interpretation and twist. Not without success. We are fans!
Veuve du Vernay is a reflection of the French lifestyle: refined, spontaneous, romantic, elegant, and chic. Veuve du Vernay presents a range of sparkling wines produced in Bordeaux, the heart of French viticulture. Sparkling wines play an important role in the daily French lifestyle. They are drunk as an aperitif, with meals, and on festive occasions. A wine indispensable to the French “Joie de vivre”. The golden bubbles of Veuve du Vernay are made with respect for French tradition by the House of Patriarche in Beaune, Burgundy. The grapes come from vines that have been cared for patiently and with respect for the environment by growers who are partners of Patriarche.
When the grapes are ripe, the vines are carefully harvested and the grapes are selected. Veuve du Vernay’s oenologist, Jean-Jacques HOCHET, applies all his know-how to every step of the winemaking process. It begins with pressing to obtain the “base wine.” Next, a small amount of sugar and some yeast are added to the wine. The mixture of sugar and yeast helps to initiate the fermentation process and form the bubbles. This is followed by several months of rest under the supervision of our Cellar Master, allowing the wines to develop all their flavor and bubbles. The pursuit of perfection at every step guarantees impeccable quality and gives Veuve du Vernay sparkling wines their unique character and renowned aromatic complexity.
