Cerasuolo di Vittoria Classico

Cerasuolo di Vittoria is to date the only and unique DOCG on SicilyIt is a confirmation of the high quality wine produced here. The grapes Nero d’Avola and Frappato provide an elegant yet robust structure with plenty of sunny red fruit on the palate. Dark red wine with a bouquet consisting of dark, ripe berries. Soft taste, with well-rounded fruit reminiscent of blackberries and damson plums. It is an elegant wine, with a certain finesse and a beautiful, long finish.

The grapes from the Santa Tresa estate have been grown organically for many years. This means, among other things, no use of pesticides or chemicals. In 2006, it was decided to have this officially registered. Consequently, as of the 2009 harvest, the wine was officially certified as organic.

The local Sicilian dish Pasta alla Norma pairs perfectly with Cerasuolo di Vittoria. It is a tomato sauce with aubergines fried in olive oil, all mixed with some ricotta cheese. Serve the Cerasuolo deliciously lightly chilled and enjoy it with meaty fish such as tuna and swordfish.

Tavignano Verdicchio Classico Superiore – bio

Behind the long wine name Tavignano Verdicchio di Castelli di Jesi Classico Superiore hides a flavorful white wine from the wine region. Marche in Central Italy. The Tenuta di Tavignano knows perfectly how to produce this wine with exactly the right balance between body, fruit, and freshness. The result is an incredibly delicious white wine with aromas of peach, apple, and lemon. Best enjoyed immediately after the harvest. The wine has received two or three glasses multiple times in the Gambero Rosso, a truly high distinction in this class of organic farming. Our tip!

Clear and glossy straw-yellow, this Tavignano Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Superiore is unusually rich, with very deep and persistent flavors (white peach, grapefruit, acacia flowers, star anise, citrus, and mineral aromas), yet remains remarkably crisp thanks to a very long finish. It delivers all the freshness and complexity associated with this grape variety. Verdicchio is therefore considered one of the best white wine grape varieties in Italy.
