A very beautiful white, organic Bordeaux!

Mineral, grassy, mango, salty, pear, and floral. Very beautifully made. Truly an elegant glass! The Les Roches Blanches Sauvignon Blanc is a refined dry white wine. Aromas of lime, ripe peach, and a subtle salty note fill the glass. This characterful wine comes from the Entre-Deux-Mers region in Bordeaux, a historic wine-growing region. The vineyards lie between the Garonne and Dordogne rivers, near the picturesque village of Castelviel, the highest point in the entire Bordeaux region. The soils are exceptional: rich in clay, limestone, and countless marine fossils that guarantee an authentic mineral flavor expression. Hence the beautiful label featuring an oyster. Perhaps a nice food and wine pairing tip right away?

How does it taste and what do you drink it with?

The Château Roquefort Les Roches Blanches Sauvignon Blanc has an elegant flavour profile with refreshing acidity and minerality. It tastes light and clean with a subtle salty undertone that reflects the geological richness of its origin. The wine pairs perfectly with refined dishes such as sea bream ceviche, as well as grilled fish and fresh salads with green herbs. Try serving it alongside fresh oysters or mussels as well! Its pure character also makes Les Roches Blanches a sought-after companion for summer meals and as an aperitif.

Wine critics on the Les Roches Blanches

Jancis Robinson (master of wine) 16,5/20 – “Floral/mineral nose – not NZ style! Attractive, assertive, broad fruit impact on palate entry and throughout the tasting experience then an appetisingly dry, Loire-like, long finish. Well bought! GV”

    Vinification and viticulture

The Château Roquefort winery preserves old winemaking traditions with modern precision. The Sauvignon Blanc grapes are selected and harvested with the utmost care. They then undergo meticulous vinification in stainless steel tanks, where controlled low-temperature fermentation preserves the pure fruit expression. Les Roches Blanches reflects the rich soil composition of the Entre-Deux-Mers with its subtle minerality and characteristic depth of flavor. The winemakers combine generations of experience with modern insights, creating a consistent and high-quality wine year after year.
