Nice Amarone but lacks some of the depth I am used too - so not my favorite Amarone but yummy.

    A top-quality Amarone at a favorable price

A top-quality Amarone at a favorable price. Indeed, where an average Amarone easily hits €40, here you can get it for almost half that price! Try it out; you will be very satisfied with this Antiche Terre Amarone Valpolicella Superiore. Perhaps not the very high complexity of much more expensive examples. However, it does have that very luscious ripe fruit with a fair amount of refined complexity for which this type of wine is so famous. For the average wine drinker, this is exactly the right choice. No difficult sniffing and slurping, just sit back and enjoy. Many have gone before you and were very enthusiastic: 4.2 on the Vivino scale with 9,000 reviews.

A few reviews from random consumers:

    • Excellent value for money. Very full-bodied, almost syrupy, strong tannins, dark fruit, plums., Leather, black pepper, oak, chocolate. Very complex. I wasn't into food, and even with the high tannins, it was good in itself.
    • Dry fruits, leather, earthy and leathery notes, full-bodied taste, cherry, christmas spices, ripe red fruit, balanced tannins, nice acidity. Beautiful.
    • Silky mouthfeel and easy (but noticeable) tannins. Scents of sweet red fruit; raisins, vanilla and spices on the palate. Long aftertaste. Better on the first day, so would I drink sooner rather than later?

So, an Amarone that is well worth the money!

    Antiche Terrre Venete

The history of the Antiche Terre Venete winery from the present day Valpolicella . The area began as early as the 1900s. Even then, Vittorio had a strong connection to his land and his vineyards. He put all his energy into working in the vineyards and his olive trees in the Valpantena. The family's winemaking passed down from generation to generation, from son Sergio to nephew Luciano. Upon returning from China, he met the Degani family, after which they decided together to dedicate their dream, passion, and skills to Antiche Terre Venete. The synergy between Richard Degani's enthusiasm and Luciano Sancassani's experience and knowledge makes this company a great success.
Work is carried out with great respect for the environment and the landscape, with great care, love, and passion, and the harvest at Antiche Terre Venete is performed entirely by hand. The winery is situated in the middle of the vineyards, was renovated and built a few years ago, and runs largely on solar energy. In the underground cellar, the wines of Antiche Terre Venete can mature in large 5,000-liter oak barrels and 170 small oak barriques. They work with great respect for the environment and the landscape. You can taste this care, love, and passion in the Antiche Terre Amarone Valpolicella Superiore.
