Taste the warm south of France in the glass.

The Boutinot Les Coteaux Côtes du Rhône Villages has elegant berry aromas on the nose, a hint of spices and spicy red fruit. Light nuances of oak. On the palate, you taste a soft texture with soft tannins. Creamy.

Met Les Coteaux van wijnhuis Boutinot zijn heerlijke combinaties te maken met gestoofd rundvlees, cassoulet op Franse wijze gemaakt, geroosterde eend of roasted lamb.

Or as Madeleine Triffon, director of Wine Matt Prince Restaurant Group, puts it: The meatiness in Rhône reds likes lamb.

It is customary in the Côtes du Rhône to bottle the best cuvées as single village wines. The rest then goes into the general Côtes du Rhône Villages appellation. However, Boutinot's philosophy, on the other hand, is precisely to create the very best Côtes du Rhône Villages by purchasing wine.
from the vineyards of the said villages, and enriches them with a small proportion of barrel-aged wine from Sablet, Séguret, and Cairanne.

Boutinot’s Côtes du Rhône Villages ‘Les Coteaux’ is therefore a selection of the best Grenache Noir and Syrah from some of the 17 mentioned Côtes du Rhône Villages.

Grapes are purchased from a number of growers with exceptional terroir, giving them the flexibility to select only the very best fruit per vintage. A small portion (20%) is partially aged for 22 months in a few new, but mostly older, oak barrels to bring depth and subtle notes of complexity. The remaining 80% is aged in stainless steel tanks, which provides more primary fruit.

    Boutinot

Boutinot is a major producer that sources wines from many parts of the world. In the Rhône, they primarily have their own vineyards where they work with respect for the environment. They use as few additives as possible in the production of the wines.

Paul Boutinot’s is a member of an illustrious group dedicated to preserving the original Rhône Villages. They visit the southern villages of the Côtes du Rhône in search of perfect terroir and partners with flexible facilities for the vinification and aging of the wines. This search has yielded exceptional “single village” wines and an exquisite Côtes du Rhône Village, sourced from Séguret and Cairanne, among others, as well as parts of Roaix, St. Gervais, and Sablet. Eric Monnin vinifies each plot individually and subsequently ages the wines in a combination of new barrels, older barrels, and demi-muids (600 liters). The rigorous selection and pursuit of perfection result in stunningly beautiful Rhône wines. Each wine individually provides a magnificent reflection of the terroir.
