    Cava, but the absolute best!

    Yeasty, nutty, melon, green herbs, and a hint of mint. What we have here is truly very good. Formerly known as Agustí Torelló Mata, this ranks among the top within the sparkling wineworld. Please note: this cuvee “Kripta”, for example, received 94 points from Robert Parker. The highest rating ever for a Cava. What a beautiful glass, what refinement and organic too! A very soft, soothing mousse, as if you were squeezing a sponge with bath foam! Beneficial, dry and wonderfully fruity with light minerality. Apples and citrus on the nose. Friendly and delicious until the end. Celler Kripta Cava Franc Brut Reserva is made from native grapes Macabeu, Xarel-lo  en Parellada.

    An extra plus is that the Cavas are always super fresh, as they are only "disgorged" upon order. This allows them to rest on their lees longer, resulting in greater complexity. And after bottling, they go straight to the customer! So, they are always fresh off the press in your fridge at home! The disgorgement date is also clearly displayed on the back label. You wouldn't get away with that at many major Champagne houses!

    Agustí Torelló Mata!

    Agustí Torelló Mata, the son of tailors and musicians, was born in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia in 1935. He began working at the age of 14, and at 18, he opened the first wine analysis laboratory in Sant Sadurní. A man dedicated to Cava, he produced his first 500 bottles of Cava in 1955, while advising and managing major companies in the sector for many years. In 1978, he produced his masterpiece: KRIPTA, recognized as one of the greatest sparkling wines in the world.

    The unique aspect of this company is the production of Cava from a single vintage. Normally, Cava is produced by blending multiple vintages to achieve consistent quality. However, in doing so, the Cava loses its characteristics and identity. The company is internationally recognized for its top cuvée Kripta and its quality. Agustí Torelló Mata's market is the top hospitality sector of Catalonia.
