Elke wijndrinker kent de Sancerre, die lekkere strak fris droge Sauvignon Blanc uit de Loire. Samen met buurman Pouilly Fumé behoort Sancerre tot de meest beroemde wijngebieden in de wereld. Dit gebied waar ook deze Domaine Salmon Sancerre vandaan komt staat bekend om zijn kalkrijke bodems die de witte wijnen hun karakteristieke eigenschappen meegeven. De Sauvignon Blanc laat zich hier in zijn meest pure vorm zien. Mooi groenige heldere kleur en fijne complexe aroma’s van citrus fruit, kruisbes (waar zijn ze nog te koop?), asperge, vers gesneden groene paprika en vers gemaaid gras , en het herkenbare minerale strakke karakter in de afdronk. In de smaak intens fris en ten slotte wat munt-achtigs in de afdronk . Dorstlessend en verfrissend!

Voortreffelijke klassiek wit die bijvoorbeeld goed gaat als aperitief, oesters, klassiek lekker bij de mosselpan. Ideale combinatie bij een fris zure jonge geitenkaas.

Domaine Salmon

De voorouders van de huidige eigenaren vestigden zich reeds in 1766 in Château-Thébaud in de buurt van Nantes in de Loire Atlantique.
Het domein is opgericht door in 1897. Een lange geschiedenis, een grote “savoir faire” en een wijn die van generatie op generatie overgaat in de familie Salmon.

De ontwikkeling van het Domaine Salmon is accompanied by constant qualitative efforts to express the character and authenticity of its terroir. With its current wide range, it is appreciated by many. Domaine Salmon can claim to be a benchmark for quality and expertise in this appellation. The cultivation of the vines has remained traditional. Domaine Salmon has opted for cultivation techniques that respect the environment, such as natural grassing and soil tillage.
The old vines with controlled yields therefore guarantee the excellence of an increasingly high-quality production.

Work is carried out in the vineyards every day, allowing for rigorous and rational supervision. From pruning to harvesting to picking or thinning as needed, the vineyard is monitored with constant care for the best quality and expression of the terroir. The cellar is subsequently continuously transformed and equipped to execute and develop winemaking methods with the aim of fully expressing the full potential of the terroir and the passion of the Domaine Salmon winemaker. That is why the Domaine Salmon Sancerre is once again a magnificent example of a classic French wine.
