The red wine Feudo Arancio Cabernet Sauvignon is deep red in color. On the palate, it is juicy with recognizable notes of blackcurrants and ripe cherries. The wine has a lovely spiciness and hints of vanilla due to 12 months of oak aging. The tannins are mild and give the wine a beautiful structure. A wine to pair with a cheese board, pasta bolognese, hearty risotto, barbecue, smoked ham, and, for something a bit more adventurous, baked fish.
The vineyards of Feudo Arancio lie on the southern coast of the Italian island of Sicily. The winery is part of Mezzacorona, one of the largest and most prominent wine companies in Italy. It takes its name from the nearby Lake Arancio. Feudo means feud. So we suspect there is quite a story behind this name.
