Some call this “The best Soave ever made”

One thing is certain: this wine is exceptional. A beautiful Soave with complex aromas of apple, pear, honey, citrus, and preserved lemon, complemented by subtle notes of oak, butter, and tropical fruit such as pineapple. The wine combines lively acidity with impressive length, resulting in a fresh and round character. The Gini Contrada Salvarenza Vecchie Vigne Soave Classico distinguishes itself with scents of yellow flowers and tropical nuances, enhanced by pronounced minerality. The wine is made from Garganega-grapes from old vineyards in the historic Soave area, with vines that are more than a century old. This gives the wine unparalleled concentration and depth.

    Taste and culinary combinations

With flavors of ripe pear, yellow peach, and a hint of flint, this wine clearly reveals the influences of the volcanic soil. A subtle spiciness and mineral undertone complement the full body and long finish. This rich and refined Soave is an excellent choice with dishes such as fish, shellfish, poultry, or creamy cheeses. Its versatility and structure make it an ideal accompaniment to refined meals.

    The production process and background

The vineyards of GiniLocated in Monteforte d’Alpone, the vineyards benefit from a unique combination of volcanic soil and limestone. The winery operates according to biodynamic principles and strives for production that is as natural as possible. After a manual harvest in October, fermentation takes place in French oak barrels. The wine undergoes natural malolactic fermentation and subsequently ages on its lees for twelve months, followed by six months of bottle aging.

The Gini family, active in the region since the sixteenth century, manages the vineyards with care and dedication. The name “Salvarenza” is derived from a local legend about a woman named Renza. Under the leadership of Sandro and Claudio Gini, the winery continues to combine innovative techniques with tradition, resulting in wines such as the Contrada Salvarenza, which beautifully embody the richness and potential of old vines.
