Typical Piedmont

Patrizi Passo del Bricco Piemonte Rosso is a red wine from northern Italy made by the winery Patrizi. A deliciously fruity wine both in the aroma, taste and aftertaste of this wine. You taste a beautiful full and balanced wine. Typical Piedmont. And for this price!

This Patrizi Passo del Bricco Piedmont Rosso is a medium intense wine with ruby red color and with purple hues. In the nose a full and persistent bouquet, with scents of red fruits (cherry, plum) and violets. On the nose you can smell the fresh energy and life of the wine. Soft and pleasant tannins that give the wine just a little more depth. Medium body, a lovely mouthfeel, excellent balance and yes…. just very tasty!

Patrizi: technology and tradition go hand in hand

Patrizi has a long and glorious past and is produced from only typical red grapes from the Piedmont region (40% Nebbiolo, 20% Barbera and 40% Dolcetto). The wine is aged in barriques for 8 months. The Patrizi winery is located at the top of a hill in Langhe, Piedmont. The leadership of the winery lies with the Manfredi family. These are the father “Pin” and his sons Luigi and Freddo. It belongs to the modern movement of wineries in Piedmont and they use a combination of technology and tradition. They use state-of-the-art equipment for vinification, along with traditional oak barrels and barriques for aging.

Patrizi Passo del Bricco at dinner

This wine goes very well with different dishes. For example, try the wine with Melanzane Parmiggiane or with Saltimbocca. In addition, this wine is also delicious with hard cheeses such as Parmesan.

Factoid

Passo means footprint, which is a reference to the walk people take from one vineyard to another to harvest the different grape varieties for this blend. Bricco means hill.
