Tinazzi Vinum Italicum No. 3 Opera is a full-bodied Italian red wine with power, ripe fruit, and spicy depth. The wine is made from a blend of well-known Italian red grapes. Corvina, Primitivo, and Nero d’Avola are often cited as the base of this cuvée. Together, they give the wine its ripe fruit, soft spiciness, and firm structure.
In the glass, Opera No. 3 has a deep, dark red color. The aroma is rich and intense, with notes of ripe red and black fruits, cherries, plums, and cassis. Behind these, notes of sweet spices, chocolate, licorice, and a subtle touch of wood emerge.
The taste is full, round, and concentrated.
The tannins are certainly present, but ripe and soft. As a result, the wine is powerful yet delightfully smooth.
The name Vinum Italicum suits this wine well. Opera No. 3 is not a classic regional wine from a single appellation, but a blend that showcases the richness of Italian grapes. Tinazzi works with red grape varieties from various Italian wine regions and creates a modern, full-bodied red wine with plenty of flavor.
The vinification is carried out with care. The grapes are gently pressed and destemmed. This is followed by fermentation and maceration at a controlled temperature. This ensures color, fruit extract, and structure.
Tinazzi Vinum Italicum No. 3 Opera is a wine for hearty dishes. Serve it with grilled beef, sirloin steak, stews, game, lamb, or pasta with a rich tomato sauce. It also comes into its own with barbecue dishes, hard cheeses, and dishes with mushrooms.
Serve the wine at around 18 degrees. Preferably let it breathe a little in the glass or briefly decant it. This allows the dark fruit, spiciness, and wood notes to come out more beautifully.
Serve Tinazzi Opera No. 3 around 18 degrees. If too warm, the wine quickly becomes heavy. Slightly cooler, it remains fresher and better balanced.
