The Villa Giada Manè is a silky smooth wine from northern Italy. It has a delightful aroma of citrus fruit, dried apricots, a hint of honey, and floral notes of roses and wildflowers. The taste is fresh, yet creamy and complex. A round texture with a character all its own. True refinement from Piedmont, from the Villa Giada winery! Certified sustainable and organic.
The wine is therefore perfectly suited to rich and creamy dishes such as Guiche Lorraine or chicken or mushroom ragout served in a warm butter puff pastry shell. It also pairs beautifully with fine creamy cow's milk cheeses such as Fontina and Taleggio. A classic with Pasta Carbonara.
Villa Gianda and their vineyards within the municipality of Canelli, with their calcareous marl soil, are meanwhile extremely suitable for, and have therefore been used since ancient times for, the production of white wine. A lot is also produced here. Moscato d’Asti made, for example. Sufficient sun and the regularity of a pleasant breeze through the vines ensure that the ripening of the grapes is fully complete.
The Chardonnay grapes for the Villa Giada Manè are always picked slightly earlier. This ensures sufficient freshness and preserves the beautiful acidity. After the manual harvest, the grapes are taken to the cellar chilled and pressed immediately to avoid any oxidation. The Chardonnay grapes undergo partial fermentation in small wooden barrels for added roundness. The Cortese grapes, on the other hand, provide that extra tension and complexity! The grape is particularly known in the popular Gavi wijnen.
The winery is situated near Monferrato and Langhe, nestled between the hills of Asti and Alba. The estate's nearly thirty hectares of vineyards are located around several farmhouses. Here is a brief description: Cascina Ceirole in Canelli, situated 320 meters above sea level, is the site where the original company originated in the late eighteenth century, with seven hectares of vines and an aging cellar. Cascina del Parroco is located in Calosso, with four hectares, on a plateau overlooking the Nizzari River. Cascina Dani in Agliano Terme, with its fourteen hectares of sandy and clay-rich vineyards, simultaneously supplies the grapes for Barbera. Ultimately, everything comes together in the renovated and expanded Villa Giada; the state-of-the-art wine cellars are housed here in the hills. Consequently, nothing is left to chance there. The result is perfect wines for every day and for special moments.
