Actually always sweet, but now a beautiful dry version of the Muscatel grape. Really for the enthusiasts!

The Yenda Sel d’Aiz Kalma is a dry white wine. This is contrary to what one often expects from a wine made from Moscatel. Usually sweetened, to be served with melon and ham or with a few ice cubes. But this is different, surprising… The taste and aroma of the Moscatel grapes are still abundantly present, but this wine is simply incredibly fresh and delicious as an easy-drinking summer wine. In addition to the wines from the highlands in Northern Cantabria, Bodegas Sel d’Aiz is working on a small side project in Malaga, from which this Moscatel wine originated. Contrary to what is often associated with Moscatel, this is not a cloyingly sweet wine, but rather a fine dry one. The taste and aroma of the Moscatel grape are clearly present, with tropical fruit, as well as a fragrant rose, and really, well… what shall we say… simply grapey. This Kalma retains a tremendous amount of freshness, making it an easy-drinking summer wine. This dry Moscatel pairs well with roasted fish or grilled white meat, such as veal in a sauce of sun-dried tomatoes. Give it a try; it will truly pleasantly surprise you.

    Manilva-Malaga wine region

In addition to the bodega in Cantabria, Sel d’Aiz also has a small wine project in Southern Spain, in Manilva – Malaga, where they make white wine from the Muscat grape. With amazing results! Our winery is in Manilva; we use 100% Muscat of Alexandria grapes to make our wines. The vineyard has over 6 hectares of old vines (between 50 and 70 years old), with white Albariza soil, situated in Southern Europe with a beautiful view of the Mediterranean Sea. The Yenda Sel d’Aiz Kalma is their only wine.
