At Wijnen.nl, we offer the option to easily have a bottle of wine delivered as a gift. You can place your order quickly and easily in just a few simple steps. Browse our extensive range of high-quality wines from renowned wineries or choose one of our special wine gifts. Add a personal card and indicate your desired delivery date for the wine gift via the customer notes. This is also convenient for last-minute gifts! If you order (on working days) before 3:00 PM, we can even deliver it the next working day*. For wine gifts within the Amsterdam ring, we can sometimes even deliver on the same day upon consultation. All business gifts and wine gifts are delivered with a packing slip without amounts. This way, the recipient knows who the package is from, but not how much it cost. The order invoice with amounts can be found in your account or can be requested by email at [email protected].

Send wine as a gift

At Wijnen.nl, all wines can be delivered in a luxury wooden wine box or special gift packaging. Naturally, a gift also calls for a personal message, which you can add with an enclosed card. If you wish, we can even personalize the card with a (company) logo. The cards are handwritten by default, but for larger quantities, they are printed.

In many cases, it is important that delivery takes place on a specific date. Therefore, you can provide us with the delivery date, and we will ensure that it is shipped on the correct day. This makes it possible to place an order in advance, which is handy for sending a birthday gift, for example!

Want to surprise multiple people with an original wine gift? That is also possible by placing a single order. During the ordering process, multiple recipients and their corresponding delivery addresses can easily be entered. One wine package will be delivered to each delivery address. In a separate step of the ordering process, you can indicate which product will be delivered to which delivery address.

Based on this, you can easily determine which type of wine is suitable. If this is difficult to ascertain, ordering a combined wine package of, for example, red and white is of course a good option. Naturally, our wine experts are also ready to assist you with this choice.

Furthermore, the origin and grape variety are important factors for many wine lovers. Generally, countries such as Italy, France, and Spain are very popular. If you choose a wine gift from one of these countries, you can count on delicious wines made from well-known grapes and regions such as Puglia, Veneto, Bourgogne, or Rioja. Less obvious countries (for example, South Africa or Portugal) also produce magnificent wines that are perfectly suitable as gifts. If the ordered wine gift is intended for multiple recipients, it is advisable to choose a wine that appeals to a broad audience. In that case, opt for an accessible grape such as the Primitivo or Merlot.

Additionally, the time of year the gift is given can also be taken into account. During the summer months, more chilled wine is generally consumed, such as white and rosé. In the winter months, many prefer a red wine.

Order wine as a business gift

Wijnen.nl is also ideally suited for sending wine to business clients and business associates. During the Christmas period, the assortment is expanded with special editions available only during the holidays. Multiple delivery addresses can easily be specified via the clear ordering process. This is convenient when you want to surprise several business associates with a wine gift at the same time! Payment is made by invoice, if desired. The invoice will be marked as ‘business gifts’ to comply with all VAT requirements. We are happy to prepare a suitable quotation for large orders or to fulfill special requests.

Custom card

Voor het overbrengen van een persoonlijke boodschap, of bijvoorbeeld een nieuwjaarswens, is het mogelijk om een mooi kaartje toe te voegen. Dit kaartje kan op verschillende manieren worden gepersonaliseerd. Standaard zijn er een aantal thema’s waaruit gekozen kan worden, zoals Bedankt, Happy Birthday, Proost, etc. Hieraan kan vervolgens een eigen tekst worden toegevoegd. De tekst wordt met de hand op het kaartje geschreven voor de persoonlijke touch.
