Biscardo Prosecco Spumante Millesimato Magnum is a delicious sparkling wine. We consider this perhaps the best Prosecco around 10 euros. The wine has a refined taste, seductive aromas of ripe pears, green apples, and floral notes. On the palate, this wine reveals a perfect balance between lively freshness and soft elegance. A graceful sparkle caresses the tongue, while the fruity flavors extend into a refreshing finish that whets your appetite for more. And last but not least, the Prosecco comes in a beautiful bottle. This Prosecco is made from grapes of a single vintage. That is why it is a Millesimato.
Whether you are celebrating a special occasion or simply looking for a moment of pure indulgence, Biscardo Prosecco Spumante is the perfect companion. Serve chilled as an aperitif to start your evening, or pair it with light dishes, seafood, or fruity desserts for an unforgettable gastronomic experience.
The Prosecco, which comes from the northeastern part of the region, around the villages of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, is made from the grape variety of the same name or also called Glera named. There are also some less dry variants, most Proseccos are dry (Brut) and almost always sparkling to a greater extent (in the form of a Spumante) or to a lesser extent (in the form of a Frizzante).
In the Netherlands, €80 million worth of sparkling wines are sold in total. Prosecco accounts for the largest share of this. So when you drink the Biscardo Prosecco Spumante DOC, you understand exactly why. Why pay more when you can get something as delicious as this for such a price? The Prosecco Biscardo Spumante has a straw-yellow color with fine bubbles. The nose is intense and aromatic with hints of apple and peach blossom. On the palate, it is smooth and velvety with a harmonious and aromatic finish.
Here, the grapes are pressed immediately after harvesting to minimize contact with the skins, after which fermentation takes place in small stainless steel tanks. The wine is then cooled and returned to small pressurized stainless steel tanks, where the mousse is created in the wine through a second fermentation with new yeast and a sugar syrup. This is called the methode Charmat where the carbon dioxide is therefore produced in the tanks instead of in the bottle, as with Champagne. That method is called the methode traditionelle named.
