Gustave Lorentz Fleurelle: a floral organic blend

Gustave Lorentz Fleurelle is a friendly, organic white wine from Alsace in northeastern France. Floral and fresh with aromas of citrus, apricot, pear, peach, and honeysuckle. This wine is a blend of Muscat, Pinot Blanc and Sylvaner which combine into a harmonious bouquet which makes the Fleurelle a colorful wine! The wine has a light body, an aromatic character and fresh acidity, making it wonderfully versatile! Like most Alsace wines, a bit plump. It goes well both as an aperitif and with subtle meals! Think of a fish or dishes with a lot of umami.

The Gustave Lorentz Fleurelle is certainly colorful!

Gustave Lorentz Fleurelle has a delicate and fragrant character. The wine opens with intense aromas of white flowers, followed by subtle hints of citrus and stone fruit. On the palate, the wine offers beautiful complexity with flavors of ripe peach, green apple, and a touch of honey and honeysuckle. The acidity is well-balanced, resulting in a refreshing and lively finish. The wine has an elegant profile and a long, pleasant aftertaste. It makes everyone happy!

Gustave Lorentz in the sunny Alsace (Elzas)

The Gustave Lorentz winery is located in Bergheim, in the heart of Alsace. This family business, founded in 1836, is known for its dedication to quality and tradition. The Gustave Lorentz vineyards are managed organically, which promotes the natural expression of the grapes. The winery has built a reputation for producing wines that reflect the unique terroir of Alsace. They make a wide range of wines, from the fresh and aromatic Muscat and the rich and complexe Pinot Gris tot een funky orange wine!

Contrary to what most people might think, the Alsace wine region has the most hours of sunshine of all the wine regions in France! This is due to the Vosges Mountains, which block clouds from the Atlantic Ocean. Consequently, the grapes can ripen beautifully! However, this happens at a leisurely pace due to the large temperature difference between day and night. This results in aromatic, fruity, and complex wines.
