Classic Nero d’Avola. One with plenty of dark fruit, spiciness, and a touch of oak.

The Vanitá Nero d’Avola (Organico) is a deliciously deep and full-bodied red wine from Sicily. The wine is made from the indigenous grape. Nero d’ Avola. This is one of the best-known local grape varieties on this southern Italian island. A beautiful, soft, and intense red wine! An organic wine with great value for money. Highly recommended if you like full-bodied red wines. In your glass, you see a deep ruby red color. Put your nose to the glass and smell the delicious aromas of red and black fruit, spicy with hints of eucalyptus and notes of bay leaf, and a subtle touch of pepper. Thanks to wood aging, the Vanitá Nero d’Avola wine has an aroma with plenty of deep red fruit, something spicy, and a hint of vanilla from the oak.

Take a sip and many will follow. You taste a full body with red and black fruit, spices followed by a deliciously long finish. Absolutely delicious! This wine pairs excellently with aged cheeses, red meat, and game such as wild boar.

    Organic  Vanitá Nero d’Avola

To make this beautiful wine, the winemaker selects Farnese Vini the best organic grapes and opts for low yields per hectare. This results in a beautiful, concentrated wine. After a long fermentation, during which the must remains in contact with the skins to optimally transfer color, power, and aromas to the wine, the grapes are pressed. Subsequently, 50% of the wine ages in stainless steel tanks and the other 50% in wooden barrels. This aging phase is deliberately kept quite short to preserve the fruit flavors. The wine is bottled after just 6 months.

Sicily: the wine island par excellence

The wine-growing region of Sicily includes, in addition to the island itself (the largest in the Mediterranean), the Aeolian Islands and Pantelleria. The vineyard area is one of the largest in Italy, approximately  107,000 hectares. That is approximately double that of a region like Emilia-Romagna or Tuscany and about 15% more than Puglia. The Sicilian territory is hilly for about 60%, mountainous for 25%, and flat for the remaining 15%. Viticulture in Sicily has made remarkable progress and achieved remarkable results in recent years in both viticulture and vinification.
