Louis Latour, one of the world's best wine producers, has established his domain in the heart of the Côte d'Or in Burgundy in Aloxe-Corton. This 100% Pinot Noir comes from the vineyards surrounding the world-famous domain. Juicy cassis splashes out of the glass! A wine of almost unprecedented richness and finesse in smell and taste. Powerful, velvety soft and full with a light wood tone in the aftertaste. Pair the wine with a traditional 'Coq au vin', red meat or mature cheeses.
Bright ruby red in color with intense aromas of blackcurrant, bay leaf, and a spicy note. On the palate, this is Pinot Noir juicy and powerful in flavor with velvety tannins and a full finish. A wine with excellent aging potential! The wine can certainly be stored for up to 8 years after the harvest, but even after that, there is still a good chance of a delicious wine. Longer bottle aging makes the flavor creamier, fuller, and softer. A very good pairing with red meat, a classic Coq-au-vin, or game. This brilliant Pinot Noir certainly does not look out of place with a cheese board featuring aged cheeses either!
The village of Aloxe-Corton is located in the heart of the Côte d'Or in France Burgundy. The Côte d'Or is divided into the Côte de Nuits in the north and Côte de Beaune in the south. The north is known for sturdy, full-bodied wines and the south for round, elegant wines. Located just above the town of Beaune, this Aloxe-Corton benefits from both styles! The grapes are picked by hand and fermented in traditional open barrels. The wine then matures for 10 to 12 months in oak barrels on the estate.
The family business Louis Latour has been active since the 17th century active in high-end viticulture. The winery is located in the Côte d’Or, in the heart of the Burgundy region. Here, they have been producing wines of outstanding quality for ten generations that rank among the best in the world. It is no wonder that Burgundy and Louis Latour are often mentioned in the same breath. Latour wines can be found particularly in upscale hospitality establishments. The house has since grown into a major global player and is active in more than sixty countries. Louis Latour wines are of high quality and sustainably produced.
