Deliciously full-bodied and spicy red from the south of France

This is a very fine wine that is well-balanced! Blackcurrant, blackberry, cherry, and some vanilla, a full body with a long finish! The Paul Mas Réserve Languedoc Rouge is a blend of complexity and elegance. This wine comes from the AOP. Languedoc in Southern France and is made from a blend of three grape varieties: Syrah, Grenache, and CarignanThis combination creates a nice balance between fruity and spicy notes. The wine opens with aromas of ripe plums, raspberries, and subtle woody notes. This wine is a good choice for those seeking rich, full-bodied wines with a smooth finish.

    Taste and Food Pairings

It has fruit aromas of ripe plums and raspberries, beautifully interwoven with spicy notes of liquorice and thyme. The wine is fruity and round on the palate, with a soft yet rich structure. The finish is harmonious, with a subtle hint of fresh liquorice, giving the wine a delightful balance. This wine is best enjoyed with some breathing and at a temperature of 17°C, and pairs perfectly with dishes such as grilled meat, guinea fowl with fresh thyme, or Spanish tapas. It also pairs well with soft cheeses and aromatic skewers.

    Domaines Paul Mas and vinification

The Paul Mas Réserve Languedoc Rouge is produced by the renowned Domaines Paul Mas winery, which has been active in the Languedoc region since 1892. The winery is known for its craftsmanship and its ability to offer consistency with a good price-quality ratio. For this wine, the grapes are carefully destemmed and fermented separately. Fermentation of the Syrah and Carignan lasts 8 to 12 days, while the Grenache ferments for up to 18 days. After fermentation, 60% of the wine ages in stainless steel tanks, while the remainder is aged in oak barrels for at least 4 months. This process gives the wine its characteristic structure and complexity, resulting in a refined and balanced wine.
