    Prosecco Biologico. Secco e Morbido.

Savian Prosecco is an organically certified wine consisting of 100% of the local Glera grape (the official name of the Prosecco grape). This sparkling wine, made according to the Charmat method, is the result of fermentation without the grape skins. It is a fine, dry sparkling wine suitable for any time of day…. After all, there is always something to celebrate! It has a yellow-green color. Fruity on the nose with mainly green apple, pear, and wildflowers. Good structure and a fine mousse. The finish is pleasant and provides a agreeable mouthfeel. Wonderfully refreshing but certainly not too high in acidity.
Extra dry sounds like super dry but is always less dry than the Brut version. It goes a little further! Dry fruity, so to speak!
The Savian Prosecco is ideal as an aperitif and can be enjoyed throughout the meal. It pairs well with risotto and various antipasti. Perfect with desserts such as jam tarts, apple pie, and strudels.

Spumante or Frizzante? The Italians drink Spumante!

Perhaps just for clarity, but always handy to know. What exactly is the difference between Spumante and Frizzante? Spumante is the flagship among Proseccos! Frizzante is a simple table wine, with less pressure in the bottle, so fewer bubbles in the glass and a slightly lower alcohol percentage.

prosecco frizzante undergoes a second fermentation of less than one month. Because the yeast and the sugar have only a short time to react with each other, less CO2 is produced than with a prosecco spumante. As a result, the carbon dioxide pressure on the bottle at a prosecco frizzante less than 3 bar and therefore there are fewer bubbles in the bottle. Because a prosecco frizzante has less pressure, this falls into a different excise category (why almost no one knows….) so this is somewhat cheaper than a prosecco spumante or a champagne. Dit is dan ook de reden dat frizzante in Nederland vrij populair is terwijl de Italianen zelf bijna alleen maar spumante drink because the quality is simply better. Meanwhile, the Savian Prosecco Spumante extra dry is both organic, very tasty, and simply available from us at a very great price.
