A silky smooth Barbera that you can enjoy immediately!

Smooth with lots of red fruit! You immediately notice raspberry and red cherries. Then something earthy emerges, a touch of oak, chocolate, leather, spices, plum, and spices. This Barbera is very beautifully made, and just a little different from the norm: A number of friends of the winery wanted to try a Barbera to make it with a less firm structure than usual, but nice and full and rich in flavor. Why? They all liked it so much that they didn't want to wait! It had to be enjoyable even when young. No sooner said than done, and at Villa Giada they got to work. After long experimentation and rigorous selection, it became the Villa Giada Surì Barbera d’Asti. And what happened? To everyone's great surprise, the international wine press also immediately gave the Villa Giada Surì Barbera d’Asti high scores. And rightly so, because it is so delicious and generous!

Full and fruity, fresh and soft!

The ruby-red Villa Giada Surì Barbera d’Asti is beautifully aromatic with ripe cherries, other red fruits, and some spicy spices. In terms of structure, it is exactly as intended: generous, velvety, juicy, fleshy, round, and with a pleasantly mouth-filling finish. The tannins are silky and provide a pleasant and lingering aftertaste. In conclusion: full and fruity, fresh and soft, very drinkable. Exactly what we like! The characteristic structure of Barbera makes it an excellent wine when young, but ensures that it holds up well over time; in fact, it lends itself well to a short aging period in the bottle. A delicious glass to enjoy in both winter and summer! Especially if the bottle has been in the fridge for a short while.

This Barbera is great to drink on its own but also goes with almost anything. A free-range chicken from the oven, veal fricandeau, game such as pheasant, but also with a spaghetti alla aglio è peperroncini.

    Nizza DOCG

Between Langhe and Monferrato lies a succession of hills that begins in the southernmost part with the territory of the noble Barolo and then continues via Villa Giada through Barbaresco and the golden hills of Moscato. This clayey limestone area on the right bank of the Tanaro River, halfway between Asti and Alba, is famous for its vineyards planted with Barbera, the queen of Piedmontese wines. This grape is currently included in the appellation. “Nizza D.o.c.g." the emergence of a small territory and particularly suitable due to its outstanding quality. The Villa Giada Surì Barbera d’Asti is a fine example of this.
